This policy explains what information the website at thelastrockstaronline.com (the "site") collects and how it's used. The site and the game The Last Rockstar are made and run by Wesley Priest ("I", "me"). Questions or requests: wespriest1989@gmail.com.
The short version
- No ads, no tracking cookies, no analytics services and no selling of data.
- If you apply to be a tester, I keep what you put in the form so I can run the test.
- You can ask me to see, fix or delete your information at any time.
What the site collects
Tester applications
When you apply to be a tester, the form sends: your name or nickname, your Google account email, your phone or tablet model, your Android version, your country and anything you write in the "about" box (the last three are optional), plus the time you applied and your confirmations that you're 18+ and agree to these policies. I use this only to choose testers, to invite them to the Google Play test (which needs your Google account email), to contact you about the test, and to understand which devices the game has been tested on.
Technical information
Like any website, the server receives your IP address and basic browser information when you visit. The site uses it only to deliver pages and to block spam and abuse (for example, limiting how many applications can come from one address). It is not used to build a profile of you. The server may keep short-lived technical logs to keep the site running and secure.
Things stored in your browser
The music player remembers your volume, shuffle and repeat settings and the last track you played, in your own browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings. The site sets no cookies.
Videos
Clips on the site are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play on a clip. When you do, the video plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.
Who can see your information
Only me. Tester applications are stored on the site's own server (hosted by DigitalOcean) and viewed through a password-protected admin page. If you're invited to test, your email is added to the tester list in the Google Play Console, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. I don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long it's kept
Tester applications are kept until the testing program they were for has ended and the game has launched, then deleted, unless you ask me to delete yours sooner. Technical logs are kept only briefly.
Your choices and rights
Email wespriest1989@gmail.com to see what I have about you, correct it, or delete it, or to leave the tester program. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or US state privacy laws; I'll honor those requests too.
Age
The tester program and the upcoming forums are for people 18 and older. If you think someone under 18 has sent information, email me and I'll delete it.
Coming later
High score boards, Google sign-in and the forums aren't live yet. When they launch, this policy will be updated first to explain what they collect (for example, your player name and scores).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
